Payment methods

There are several options for paying your levy to WorkCover.

Online levy payment

You can use this website to pay your levy. Contact our Service Centre on 13 18 55 to obtain your User ID and password before you visit our payments pages.

Credit card

If your levy is less than $10,000, you can pay by credit card, either online or by phone. We accept Visa and Mastercard. To pay online you'll first have to call our Service Centre on 13 18 55 to obtain a user name and password.

Direct debit

You might prefer to have the levy debited directly from your nominated bank account. Please note that direct debit is not available on some accounts, so please check with your financial institution.

The debited amount can be fixed or variable. Choosing the variable option allows you to nominate month by month the amount you wish to have debited from your account. The fixed direct debit option also gives you the flexibility to make additional payments.

A direct debit arrangement stays in force until it is cancelled, or until you change accounts or financial institution. It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds in your nominated account to cover the debit, to avoid a penalty from your financial institution.

Bpay

If you're a monthly payer you also have the option of Bpay where you authorise your financial institution to make the payment from your nominated cheque or savings account. You'll need to quote either WorkCover's Biller Code 9951, if you pay levy monthly, or 9969 if you pay annually, along with your eight digit employer registration number as the reference number.

Your financial institution can also assist with electronic funds transfers (EFTs). The following information relates to EFTs:

Please be mindful that some EFTs can take up to 48 hours to reach us. Payments not received by WorkCover by the 7th of each month may be subject to a late payment fine.

Levy payment in advance

WorkCover offers a discount for paying a full financial year's levy payment in advance, based on your estimated remuneration for that year. At the end of the financial year you will be notified of this option with your annual reconciliation statement.
