Vocational rehabilitation providers

WorkCover is responsible for the efficient cost and effective operation of the workers rehabilitation and compensation scheme in South Australia. As part of this responsibility, WorkCover enters into agreements with suitable service providers, and registers suitably qualified persons, to provide vocational rehabilitation services to injured workers and their employers.

Injured workers often require appropriate rehabilitation to ensure they return to work safely and without further aggravating the injury. The claims agent may appoint a vocational rehabilitation consultant to assist the injured worker and coordinate a gradual return to work.

The type of rehabilitation required for a return to work plan generally depends on the nature and severity of the injury; however, various specialists may be involved with a focus on supporting the worker as they get back to work.

Access the Vocational and rehabilitation amendment and registration forms.
